We hear the sputterings all the time of the disasterpresident. "The choice is clear Stay the course or Cut and run." Lets examine these. Stay the course if Iraq and Afghanistan are the examples really means, 'Shoot first and ask questions later.' The truth was never looked for in either situation. The disasterpresident has never given a straight answer to why we did these things(like kill 600,000 innocent civilians plus or minus). 'Cut and run' being a completely political invention of the disasterpresident(No one in America today has ever said cut and run except for the people in the administration following Karl Roves political advice. This was the same campaign they used to out an undercover CIA operative) was what he did during Viet Nam. What the people against this War and the Democrats are saying is; We have lost nearly 3,000 men and women in Iraq to date. We had lost this many military personel in Viet Nam(This War was started on the faulty premise of the Gulf of Tonkin incident which was an invention for then President Johnson to get into my generations phoney War, please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Tonkin_Incident) to February of 1965. We were at a crossroads then, we are at a crossroads now. We can escalate the War, as President Johnson did in 1965 and lose another 55,000 military personel, or we can withdraw our troops from another conflict that we cannot win and save the lives and the mental heatlh of your generation. That means No Draft in four years(12/69). That means 300,000 less wounded coming home. That means the children of the Republican elite wont have to sweat how to get their kids out of serving their Country. These are the options that the disasterpresident is choosing for your generation. He wants you to be scared and scarred. The power you have is to register to vote and vote these bastards out of office before they can do real damage to your generation and our country. In my local paper, an article came out this morning, "U.S. agents question teen". A fourteen year old girl was taken out of her High School class by the Secret Service without her parents permission and questioned. This was all regarding her MySpace page having something derogatory about the pretzel(she used his name, I cant bring myself to). Is this the America you want? She could have been declared an enemy combatant and removed to any prison in the world without Habeas Corpus, according to the law the Republican Congress passed and the pretzel requested of them. Did you want to be treated this way for what the first amendment says you can feely say? Time to get out and vote.
